About Judith-Kate Friedman, MLP steward


Mythsinger Legacy Project’s steward (and Daniel’s life-partner) Judith-Kate Friedman represents The Other Within and hosts book events and myth gatherings on-line as well as guest teaching for other mythopoetics communities and podcasts. She also hosts the annual online concert event: Love Dogs: An Evening with Judith-Kate Friedman and Daniel “3D” Deardorff which includes screening of a two-hour Valentine’s Day concert recorded live at Key City Public Theater, Port Townsend, WA.

Judith-Kate Friedman is an award-winning performing songwriter, producer, and multi-modal artist. A three-time recipient of National Endowment for the Arts grants, her publications include acclaimed musical recordings, radio broadcasts, documentary film and scholarly writing about the cognitive and physical benefits of making music. Born in New York City, she makes her home on Washington State’s rural north Olympic Peninsula, traditional Coast Salish lands. It was there that she and Daniel Deardorff met at the crossroads of art, activism, ritual, and social practice in the oral tradition. They shared love and creative partnership for fourteen years.
